Gonzales ‘dashed out’ of Fitzgerald presser.

The Chicago Tribune reports:

Attorney General Alberto Gonzales dashed out of a Chicago news conference this afternoon in just two and a half minutes, ducking questions about how his office gave U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald a subpar rating.

Gonzales, who increasingly faces calls for his resignation, was here to promote a new ad campaign and had planned a 15-minute press availability. He left after taking just three questions over a firing scandal consuming his administration.

Before leaving, Gonzales said he wanted to “reassure the American people that nothing improper happened here.”

2. Ladies and Gentlemen, the Atty General has LEFT the building for the last time
Ranking Fitzgerald with a subpar rating is gonna be the last straw. There is NO ONE who can credibly argue he deserves a low rating. It is a laughable assertion so clearly politically motivated we should not even debate it. He must go NOW.

I cannot WAIT to see the video or Fitz's response (although he will probably be a big enough man to say nothing).

Before leaving, Gonzales said he wanted to “reassure the American people that nothing improper happened here.”....before SPRINTING for the door ! HA HA HA HA

3. 'nothing improper happened'
...but he won't state exactly what DID happen!!

I heard someone talking about it and how he keeps assuring people that nothing improper happened and yet he doesn't state what did happen. In other words, he doesn't show any arguments to defend his position......just that he didn't do anything wrong. Anyway, the person I saw (it may have been McKay) said that this doesn't sound like something an attorney would do.

10. He has made a habit out of it.
He ran out of another press conference last week when the questions got too heated. It was talked about then. You should make a photoshop pic. :)
