CNN reports that Tony Snow's
cancer has returned. They took a small growth out but they say it has gone into his liver. Not good news.

5. I know it's a hopeless request...
But I would like to see DU show more compassion for Tony Snow that Free Republic did for Elizabeth Edwards. We're supposed to be better than them.

Cancer doesn't care about your ideology, and regardless of my differences with this Administration, I wish Tony Snow a speedy and full recovery.

9. Nor have I at this point
I noticed in LBN that Skinner has instructed the mods to pull any inappropriate posts, but I haven't seen any deleted messages. And that's the way it should be.

10. I've seen only positive posts about this. Here is one thread:

Where did you read anything negative here on DU about this? Link?

17. No, not at all...
Yours was just the last response on the thread at the time. Didn't mean to make any suggestions there. I probably should have replied to the OP.

6. Just like I did with Elizabeth Edwards, I'll give the same respect for Tony Snow.
He'll be in my thoughts. He's on the wrong side of the debate in my opinion, but this isn't good news. I wish him and his family the very best. And we have to show him more respect than the GOP showed Elizabeth, because if we don't...we aren't any better.

8. My best to Snow but that White house is SOOOO repugnant
They just trotted some jerk out to give an update on Snow's condition and of course she had to use the oppportunity to get political --under the auspice that Snow is actively opposed to the Iraq time limit thing.

bush REALLY has no shame--I doubt Snow gives a damn about the Iraq bill a day after getting such horrible news.

Could they not wait a day or two before using this man's misfortune to their advantage? I give up!

11. They USE One Another
Oh, they're the first ones to accuse liberals of using a situation for gain, but they do it Every Time.

They care more about themselves, like rats on a sinking ship, than they do about one of their own.

13. After a major surgery like that there is no way he's following
Whitehouse BS...

I had a surgery to have an abdominal tumor removed (and it turned out to NOT be cancerous so I had every reason to be upbeat and celebratory)

Let me tell you...I felt like shit that first and second day, I could have cared less what went on in the world of politics at that juncture and like I said I wasn't given some hideous prognosis.

Clearly the Whitehouse as usual, just like you said, is just using what they can of this bad situation to their so called advantage. If they truly cared for their coworker they would have more respect than to politicize this issue at this time!
