Republican Voters disgusts me
And that's there voters. I think it's sad when I hear the things that comes out of there mouths and I say to myself how stupid, uneducated and ignorant they are, let me go into detail about what i'm talking about.

I am a frequent watcher of the Washington Journal on C-SPAN, and I am amazed of how many Republican call onto the show accusing the Democrats of this and that that simply ain't true, yesterday's show really ticked me off with some of the callers that call in yesterday. A woman from Tupelo, Mississippi called in with her ice age views stating tat Hillary Clinton is unfit for the White House not because of her views but because of her gender, because no woman should ever hold down a job, they all should just stay home and be homemakers. One woman from Johnson City, Tennessee call in stating that it's a shame that no matter what Bush does he is attacked from the left and right, he's damned if does damned if he doesn't, this has been the most successful time in america and HE CAN DO NO WRONG and we must pray for him. She also attacks the Democrats for doing nothing but lining there pockets and not governing properly cause all they want is the power, they have no interest in governing this country. Then one woman from Texas attacked the Democrats for having no plan for governing, all they want to ever do is criticize and attack and that Bush is a successful president that was elected not once but TWICE.

WTF where have these people been the last 12 years or something? are they that stupid or there just in denial? when the Republicans were in power in Congress for 12 it was the worse 12 this country has ever seen what the woman from TN said was quite the opposite, the Republicans were the ones taking money on the side, there the ones that had no interest in governing, all they wanted was the power plain and simple. And we don't need to pray for Bush,i'll do no such thing and if I do it's because I want to have him impeach you fool. And for the women from MS well the only thing I have to say about that your a very narrow minded, ignorant out of date person, a woman can do whatever she pleases, she has options they just don't stay home anymore being no more then "barefoot and pregnant" the 1950's are over lady a woman can have a job if she wants to. So if you dislike Hillary that's cool but dislike her because she disagrees with yours views not because of her gender. And the Democrats do have plans for running the country, there doing so much more then just attacking and if there attacking Bush it's for a real good reason.

I'm sick of Republicans being uneducated on issues, it's these examples that tells me that certain people only get there news from Conservatives newspapers, Faux news and Rush and that saddens me that these people are like that. So if anyone is confused on who are the 30% of people that still thinks Bush is doing a good job, just watch C-SPAN and you'll find them. And it would be good if these people were going to call a somewhat well known show like this, it would be good to get your facts straight before you go onto this show to make a complete fool of yourself.

2. So they can call out for pizza
Seriously, these people have been lied to by all the authority figures around them they really don't know which way is up. When all they get is lies from preachers, politicians, newscasters, and probably all their friends and family who listen to the same damn liars, how can we expect them to make decent decisions?

A fish rots from the head down, and every "head" these folks know is putrefied.

14. Cracker is an insulting term, as you well know

since you prefaced it with "dumb."

Funny how nobody comments on the intelligent comments made by Southerners on Washington Journal. I was on WJ just last week myself, I'm a Southerner, and my comments were intelligent and made a Republican guest squirm.

I don't know what I'm doing in a party with so many people who trash me for where I live and for my religion. I want to vote for Dennis Kucinich in the Dem primary but after that, I'm changing my registration to Green or Independent. Congratulations, all you haters, you just drove a forty-year Democrat out of the party!

17. When you find
a place or party that doesn't have haters in it let me know and I'll join you there. Or is it only a place where there are no haters against the south and southerners that your looking for?

Hate is a human emotion that knows no party, region, race, sex or economic status.

Good luck to ya, from a 62 year Democrat to a former 40 year Democrat, and please don't go away with so much hate in your heart!

Some people get carried away sometimes. Maybe they use words they should not. Maybe they display certain attitudes that are based on stereotypes. Sure it would be a better world if nobody ever used bad words. But that's not the world we're living in.

The Democratic Party is a very big tent. 51 million voted Gore in 2000. More voted Kerry in 2004. And those are just the ones they counted!

So out of all those millions of Democrats you are sure to find a few people who are maybe not as restrained and respectful as you would like.

But in the final analysis what unites us is much more important than what divides us. We all agree that the people who are running the country right now should not be there. Bu$h-Cheney were not elected by the people back in 2000 (only 40% still believe they won "fair and square"). They were installed by the Supreme Court, and for the past 6 years have trampled on the Constitution, the role of the legislative branch and the independence of the judiciary.

And when it comes to the Presidential election, if you don't vote Democrat then you are helping the Republicans hold on to power.

3. A friend and I always talk about this. We both used to try to have reasonable
discussions with people like this. He finally said to me one day, "Why bother? You aren't going to change anyone's mind -- these people hear what they want to hear and that's it. You might as well bang your head against the wall."

He is absolutely right. These people do not care about the truth...the truth does not matter to them. What matters to them is believing that they are right -- and righteous. They all know the talking points and when and how to use them. It really is remarkable that people can be so ignorant and can be led around like sheep.

10. *willful* ignorance...
The desire to remain ignorant, regardless of what the reality is.

Willful ignorance is the bane of democracy.

6. You cannot change a die hard Republicans mind but you can
enjoy teasing them. I try to work on Independents who at least have an open mind. Independents are at least 30% of the voting population so you have to convince at least 60% of them to vote Democratic.

8. I think they are in denial.
They don't want to face the fact that America is a glimmer of the nation it used to be. When more of them become cold & hungry they will wake up, but there will always be some that never do. I see a bully attitude in these types. I read an angry right-wing retort on some blog about some issue a long time ago: You mess with the bull you get the horns. My own right wing mother says we need a 'big, bad military.' Arghh!

9. What the Repukes usually accuse Dems of doing ...
you find, months later, that they're caught doing exactly that ...

Hmm, Repukes took power 1/3/1995 on the promise fix "corruption" ... I guess that meant they were going to improve on what the rank amateur Democrats were capable of ...

In 1998, Newt Gingrich carrying the torch to burn Clinton at the stake for having an affair ... and yet he was carrying on yet another affair while prosecuting Clinton ...

Haggard, Mark Foley, etc.

The list goes on ...

They believe everything they are told by those in power, and must never, EVER question what they are told. I used to get pissed at them, now I just pity them.

19. Well, they're probably disgusted by you too, especially your own intolerance towards them.
Look they're people, like any other. I live out in a very red county in a red state. I'm surrounded by Republicans. If I want to get along in my rural society, I've got to get along with Republicans. Does this me that I subvert my liberal politics? No, but neither do I make it the center of my life. Many of my neighbors and friends are fine people who have and will do anything for you, as I have and will for them. That's the way it is out in the country. They know I'm liberal, I know they're conservative. We even manage to have civil discussions about politics, and in fact I have persuaded them to vote for Democratic candidates in the past, simply through talking with them.

But politics isn't the center of our existence, friendship or conversation.

Try treating conservatives like people first, then you can start working on their politics. Condemning them out of hand for their political views is the flip side of the intolerance that they display also.

... it looks a bit ironic including grammatical errors in the title as well one in each sentence of your first paragraph.

22. Sorry, I can't help it
I have poor grammar. But if I had to do anything over I would change the title of the thread cause I don't hate ALL Republican voters. I mean I live in a highly red suburb of Pittsburgh and I went to school with many conservatives and they could the most wonderful and nicest people you'll ever meet. I used to debate alot of conservatives during lunch time and they could be lively debates with no talking points whatsoever. They were moderate at best and weren't arfaid to critize there party when they did something that wasn't up to their liking. It's the conservatives that live in bubbles that are so much in denial about there party and there president that it isn't funny, there the ones that get me worked up.
