Seriously, what has to happen?
Like many on this board, I was originally opposed to an instant impeachment and wanted investigations first. However, I am beginning to feel that there should be more than enough evidence for an several impeachments to occur at this point.
I mean, we have what I can name off the top of my head:
Halliburton (sp?) giving the troops contaminated food, the leaking of a CIA agent's name for political retaliation, the obliteration of habeas corpus, cutting of funding by the 109th Congress for veterans, the response time of several days for Katrina, the purge of US attorneys in the middle of an adiministration, etc. Seriously, how much more before articles of impeachment are brought up? Maybe I'm just pessimistic, but I doubt there's going to be any justice at all and feel like this administration will get away with everything.

1. Personally, I am for the plan that Al Franken proposed on David
Letterman last year. He said that the impeachment process would start the day after the elections, take about a day, impeach Bush & Cheney just before they leave office, arrest them several days before inaugaration day so Bush wouldn't be able to pardon anybody. He laid out the perfect plan.

2. Republicans of good conscience have to speak up
and want to take these guys down. I don't know if that will ever happen. I think we're in damage control for the next two years and everyone's looking for a fresh start.

3. I was thinking more or less the same thing today...
...but more along the lines of just being unable - literally unable - to keep up with the scandal a day of this administration. If it weren't so tragic it would actually be funny. But no one's laughing. Weren't we just blown away by the Walter Reed scandal, and then the Libby verdict, then we get the U.S. Attorneys scandal...and what is the time frame here...what, a couple of weeks. And what about the Bush apologist scandals over the last couple weeks...Coultergeist, Faux going after Obama, and so on and on...it just never ends. With Clinton, you had a president lying about sex. And that was it. That was it. I bet that if someone put their mind to it, they could find a scandal a week in this presidency...at least post 9/11. A scandal or a fuck up or something. It boggles the mind.
