the dems fall into two camps. The GET OUT NOW! faction has its points. So does The BUILD A COALITION FOR WITHDRAWAL faction. Any Space for compromise between these two looks unlikely One view will win and the other will loose So who's right? and more importantly what is best for our nation?
I agree getting out of Iraq is a common mission, but the specifics of what that entails is a political minefield on which there is far too little agreement.
4. With this appropriations bill pending we work on out now
Then we can work on primary candidates. These are activities, not factions. We should always be building coalitions. I would like to a see a coalition aimed simply and specifically at eliminating for profit corporations from the political process. It would be transformative and would benefit the peace movement and every other progressive cause.
knows you can't all just board the plane TODAY and thats it folks!! I am on that side of the fence but common sense says it will take at least a month or two to sort things out. I think the real problem is no one wants to start the process and when they do, they don't agree on how long it will take. Especially when you have the idiot president adding more troops when we ALL both right and left know we need to pull out...
For some stupid reason the members of congress and senate that do want to start pulling out right away, seem to get drowned by the others afraid for how it will look...god everything in this society now is all based on how it looks.
Who gives a damn how it looks? How it looks is like we are a country being run by obvious liars and the people don't care enough to be out in the streets demanding for them to be ousted.
