Video of US helicopter attack on Iraqi insurgents
a chopper (in whisper mode?) lurks around a meeting that (I hope) is between Iraqi insurgents. The US personnel ID a weapon being thrown out, radio in for an attack authorization and, about half way thru the video, start blasting the insurgents to smithereens. In the lower right hand corner you can see a counter showing that in the entire engagement, the Americans expend under 100 rounds.

You tax dollars at work. Question: how come we have this massive military advantage in Iraq (and it really is stunning) and yet we keep on losing? Could it be that there is no military solution to Iraq? Just askin'.

March 8, 2007 — As additional U.S. troops continue to flow into Baghdad, the new U.S. commander in Iraq, Gen. David Petraeus, warned that force alone would not get the job done.

"Any student of history knows there is no military solution to a problem like that in Iraq, to the insurgency of Iraq," said Petraeus. "Military action is necessary to help improve security … but it is not sufficient."

3. There is an alternative view of that video.
That what those men were was farmers, doing plowing. Just thought I would bring that up.

Especially since there is a tractor there and the fields are freshly plowed.

4. the invading force always ends up losing,
unless the invader co-opts the powers that be, and makes peace on new terms more acceptable.

Atilla, napoleon, alexander, Vytautas, hitler, and many others recognized this. Only Cheney and Rummie and Rove and their hand puppet Condi seem to have forgotten this important lesson of history.

5. This is OLD taken back in 2003 or 4! The thing about it is they Killed a few farmers trying to work
the fields! That is why today we are in such a mess since the powers that have run this operation have from the beginning shown a very serious disregard for human life!
