Ann Coulter - lost daughter and heir of Anita Bryant
She is more sophisticated but her message is pretty much the same. She thinks that accusing someone of homosexuality, accompanied with a Miss Piggy toss of her blond hair is the ne plus ultra of conservative humor.

From Wikipedia

An epithet (Greek - επιθετον and Latin - epitheton; literally meaning 'imposed') is a descriptive word or phrase that has become a fixed formula. It has various shades of meaning when applied to real or fictitious people, divinities, objects and biological nomenclature. It also means a derogatory word or phrase used to insult someone.

"Fag" and now "faggot" is Ann Coulter's favorite epithet. She calls it "humor". It is clearly meant to debase or insult her subject although it is far more revealing of her. Why is everyone she means to discredit honored with this "humorous" slam? Why does this even begin to pass for humor with her conservative audiances?

I wish Lynn and Dick Cheney had both been in the audiance, if only because it would have been a most instructive and educational moment to watch their reactions. Would they have gasped and then laughed and then applauded enthusiastically? I guess we'll never know.

3. You guys really need to stop calling her a man.
For one thing it's very tiresome but secondly a woman can have a very thin neck where it appears she has an adams apple. I really hate the fact that I have to do this. This would be the only reason I would take up for this vile-tongued bitch! :)

11. It's a known symptom of anorexia.
Eating disorders coupled with other health problems brought on by Ann's pill-and-martini diet are the most probable explanation for her Adam's apple. I've seen no solid evidence to show that she's transsexual, and if she really was there would be something. There are plenty of pictures left over from her younger years that show a normal-looking woman; I suspect she's done a lot of drugs and a lot of purging between then and now.

13. Nonsense.You can't fake an adam's apple. And her facial features alone are masculine.
and her voice and hands are a dead giveaway. But whatever.

5. From what I understand Dick Cheney was in attendance.
He was on the program. Where was he while she was talking?

I doubt he cares about slurs against anyone except his daughter. (And then he acts pious and outraged--flash to the Kerry controversy in the 2004 election.) For goodness sakes, he campaigns against gay rights--how could he possibly be offended?

Obviously he does not understand the meaning of the word HYPOCRITE!

12. We're acting like a bunch of 5 yr olds
with the indignant "SHE CALLED ME A NAME!" whine. Who cares? When my daughter says "Mom, he called me a baby" I ask "ARE you a baby?" she says no, I say then don't worry about it and it's over. I ask my son if he likes to be called a baby, he says no and it's over.
Who cares what Ann Coulter says, thinks or does? Ignoring her would accomplish the goal of having her keep her opinions to herself far more than than crying "she called me a name". If a (certain type of ) person knows that what they do bothers you, they'll just do it more.
Personally, I don't think of Coulter as a Republican mouthpiece but rather a comedian that (to me) isn't very funny.
People can say whatever they want. It's their right.
Tolerance goes both ways.
