5. That's what the Geffen concoction was about
Blame Obama for something he had nothing to do with, and then continue to send faxes about the Clinton-Obama dust-up in order to make Obama appear as petty as Hillary. It's stunning the number of DUers who have fallen for it.

7. I resent being called part of a slime machine
I never put down another candidate and make no excuses for my support of the first good female candidate for President. Actually, I don't remember any supporter of HRC using slime against other candidates. To whom are you referring?

9. unless you're working on the Clinton campaign, I don't think they were referring to you
at least not how I read it. I think they were referring to the recent press from her staff against obama.

14. Yep....Wolfson, Penn, Carville, McAuliffe, & 'Friends'
Although the way many of the Hillaristas attack their fellow DUers, you'd think Team Hillary has dispatched its operatives onto this forum.

Oh wait....

3. All I have to say about this is.
Public finance now.

This is FEBRUARY, the year before the general election, for chrissakes. This is madness.

8. What's the "OH SHIT" for? Are you thrilled or dismayed?
You're going to be mighty excitable between now and election day if you get that worked up over every poll.

It's early days yet. Quite frankly, I'd like to hear BOTH of them--and everyone else who has a hat in the ring-- lay out a national plan in a debate or three before I say OH SHIT or OH JOY about any of them.

Ed Muskie was a sure thing, once upon a time. Unbeatable. (The young people say Ed WHO???)... Jerry Ford, despite his weakass 'WHIP INFLATION NOW' exhortations, was the favored candidate over Jimmy The Peanut Farmer Carter. Bill Clinton was considered a complete HAHAHOHO joke at the outset, a total long shot, he'll be gone soon, they said, he can't hang on, too fat, too disorganized, not enough money, too much of a ladies' man, and oh, that bossy wife of his--no way, fuggedaboutit!.....and even when he won, Poppy couldn't believe it.

It's way too soon to suggest that any candidate has a lock on a nomination, or OWNS a sector of the vote based on ethnicity or economics or any other deciding factor, or to be cheering or bemoaning. The race hasn't even STARTED yet. They're still suiting up in the locker room at this stage of the game....

10. It's early... but Obama has what it takes to win the primaries and the elections
It's up to us, his supporters, to make it happen, though. Join his campaign, donate, and volunteer. I've done 2 of those 3 things already, and will volunteer as soon as they ask for volunteers around here (if I can make time, of course).
