3. Foley is slinking away, but still under investigation:

This month, he returned to West Palm Beach where he was spotted waiting for his bags at Palm Beach International Airport.

Foley, 52, resigned from Congress in late September after reports surfaced that he exchanged a series of sexually explicit online messages with teens.

Since then, law enforcement agencies have launched investigations into Foley's misconduct. The Florida Department of Law Enforcement is in the process of conducting a full-fledged criminal investigation into Foley's reported communications with the teenage boys.

The investigation "is still ongoing," Kristen Perezluha, a spokeswoman for the FDLE, said Thursday.

"The investigators are actively pursuing it," Perezluha said. "It is a priority."

Meanwhile, the FBI is still conducting a preliminary investigation into the matter.

"We're still pressing on," FBI spokeswoman Deb Weirman said. "We're investigating this on a daily basis. It's not a dormant process."

6. It's amazing how Republican scandals...
can so easily be swept under the rug never to appear again. If Foley or Gannon or Ney or whomever were a Democrat they'd be front page every day. Even the Libby trial is back page news. Republicans just ignore situations and they drop off the radar. Unbelievable!
