Poll question: Who do you want the GOP to nominate in 2008?
Forget about the Democratic nomination... Whom do you want to see your favorite candidate beat in 618 days?

6. I don't think he stands a chance winning Wisconsin
I don't think he's liked there very much any more. It seems (though I don't know for sure) that when he left to work for the world's most notorious War Criminal of the past generation, he lost some respect; and then, he did a shitty job and his boss has done an even shittier job. I think he is tied too much in the minds of people with the fiasco that is Shrubbie.

I could be wrong, though.

3. I haven't figured that out yet.
Romney - wouldn't win MA, I think the creationist Republican types won't be into his Mormonism, is flip flopping like crazy
Giuliani - wouldn't win NY, has tons of issues the creationist types won't like, is flip flopping like crazy
McCain - has some issues the creationist types won't like, is flip flopping lke crazy, has really hitched his wagon to the policies of Bush
Gingrich - has the highest negative ratings of any candidate ever mentioned
Huckabee - would lose AR to Clark or HRC, my pick for the toughest to beat though

5. I believe Brownback would be the best one to beat. He is typical of the Repuke mindset and I do
believe that the American people would finally have a true comparison between a narrow close minded candidate like Brownback vs. a dem. Many of the other Repuke candidates are too slick in not letting their true colors shine.

because God loves the prodigal son more than the faithful son.

11. John McCain, way too easy to paint him as another Bush
With all of his flip flops lately to be more like an extremist repub, and his calling for more troops to be sent to Iraq then Bush is sending it'll be too easy to paint him as a foolish war monger who will bring us into even more pointless wars in the middle east. Plus there was an article recently about how the front runners, including him, would demoralize the republican party's base.

13. Actually,
I want them to nominate somebody who is qualified. We know the GOP will cheat, therefore it's better if we have a competent President rather than another rube like we have now.

This country has no time to fuck around any more. There are problems that need fixing.

Of course it's best if a Democrat is elected but it will have to be with a 12 to 17% margin to offset the cheat factor.

15. I'd prefer the GOP disband altogether. Just pack up the desks, call the
phone company to discontinue service, and get the hell out forever.

I don't see where they've exactly added much to American public life in the last 50 years, at least.

To hell with 'em.

Absent this scenario, let them nominate Tancredo so we can destroy them at the polls in 2008. We're going to win anyway, but let's make it a landslide.
