Obama Campaign Blasts Back
By Greg Sargent

Obama communications director Robert Gibbs just released the following statement in response to the Clinton camp's broadside this morning over David Geffen's anti-Clinton comments:

“We aren’t going to get in the middle of a disagreement between the Clintons and someone who was once one of their biggest supporters. It is ironic that the Clintons had no problem with David Geffen when was raising them $18 million and sleeping at their invitation in the Lincoln bedroom. It is also ironic that Senator Clinton lavished praise on Monday and is fully willing to accept today the support of South Carolina State Sen. Robert Ford, who said if Barack Obama were to win the nomination, he would drag down the rest of the Democratic Party because he's black.’"

6. Nice response from the Obama crew
Hillary is leading the pack now, but if Obama keeps up the quick response tactic and can make a genuine and reseaonble case for his candidacy, Hillary will have no where to go but DOWN. Hillary is riding mostly name recognition right now.

Advice to Carville Le Turncoat: Don't send out press releases drunk while you're hangin' out with the Argus Krewe in Metairie...

8. We will face this same sort of thing
for the next year and a half. It doesn't matter who says it, they will all get caught up in throwing stones and the media will have a field day. Maybe after Anna N. Smith finally gets buried the media will tell us more about what is going wrong in this country. But only if it gets good ratings.

9. I'm disappointed to see Hillary attacking fellow Democrats. However,
I'm not surprized because it's been her MO for a long time.

11. Obama has one of the best teams I've seen
In my short life in politics (I'm 23). He's got a crack communications team, crack pollsters and a really good finance team. I said when they first announced his inner circle, if Obama wins, it will be on the strength of his team. These guys are the new wave of how Democratic campaigns are run. Just wait...
