Next Stop in the War on Terra: The Russian Front
Edited on Wed Feb-21-07 09:14 AM by lwcon
We keep hearing about how Iran is going to be made to account for weapons it's supposedly providing to kill our troops in Iraq.

I guess Pootie-Poot's day of reckoning is nigh, as well:

The Army's senior aviation officer in Iraq said yesterday that Sunni fighters probably used a sophisticated SA-14 or SA-16 shoulder-fired missile to shoot down a Marine helicopter on Feb. 7, killing all seven people on board....

The Russian-manufactured SA-14 or SA-16 probably would have been brought into the country from abroad relatively recently, Simmons said in an interview.

If, as the neo-cons tell us, we've been at war with Iran since the 1979 hostage crisis, and that we had to kill Saddam because he gassed his own people (years before we came to terms at the end of Gulf War I), it's about time we take it to the Stalinists. No doubt, we'll be greeted with borscht and matroyshkas.

1. Hey, Condoleezza, I was just kidding

Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice on Wednesday described as “extremely unfortunate” a Russian general’s threat to target Poland and the Czech Republic if they host American missile defense bases.

Gen. Nikolai Solovtsov, head of Russia’s strategic missile forces, said Monday at a news conference that Russia might train its missiles on the two countries if they accept a U.S. proposal to base 10 interceptor missiles in Poland and a radar in the Czech Republic.
