Report:: Blair To Announce Timetable For Iraq Pullout
http://www.usatoday.com/news/world/iraq/2007-02-20-blair-iraq_x.htm?csp=24

LONDON (AP) — Prime Minister Tony Blair on Wednesday will announce a new timetable for the withdrawal of British troops from Iraq, with 1,500 to return home in several weeks, the BBC reported.
Blair will also tell the House of Commons during his regular weekly appearance before it that a total of about 3,000 British soldiers will have left southern Iraq by the end of 2007, if the security there is sufficient, the British Broadcasting Corp. said, quoting government officials who weren't further identified.

The announcement comes even as President Bush implements a surge of 21,000 more troops for Iraq.

But Blair said Sunday that Washington had not put pressure on London to maintain its troop numbers. Britain hopes to cut several thousand of its 7,000-member force in the southern city of Basra by midyear.

2. He wants out before the US attacks Iran
Blair announced the decision on the same day as intense Iranian military exercises. When the war errupts, he will be able to say that they are not cutting and running because they had planned to leave all along.

3. Interesting....what you say... Blair want's to get out with at least a little reputation intact
and his "handlers" are pegging Bush as Crazy and ready to go into Iran...Blair doesn't want that second "tarring" as Bush Poodle on his legacy when Bush Bombs Iran and the world's people cry out in disapproval. (Forget us Americans at HOME...media doesn't cover OUR OUTCRIES OF RAGE over BUSH POLICIES!) But, Europe and the rest of the world are not so kind and loving and forgiving to our "Emperor Chimp" as our media, here.

4. Prince Harry has more power than I thought....for a figurehead.....

If any harm came to Prince Harry, Blair would be burned at the stake. Hell, he might as well just end his part in the war that should have never been started.

Yo Go, Prince!
