Nothing wrong with getting support from your constituents but she is not talking the talk on Iraq to the people. I would like her to explain her views on what she thinks would help the situation in Iraq now. Don't tell me if she is Pres. in 09 she will get us out! Sheesh. What is she doing now to fix things in Iraq? Many like Feingold, Murtha and others are trying to doing so. She beats around the bush.

but the game can't be played without schmoozing and gaining the support of other elected officials and key party members and so on, and the work starts early.

in fact, this work is more important in the early stages than the speeches, in part because the venue and the introducer and the endorsement are all part of the the speech event and those things have to be nailed down ahead of time.
