Here, son, have a country for your birthday!
Happy (not!) birthday to the little dictator that couldn't.

Because of his father, and nothing else, an incompetent man of average intelligence
gets to run a country, something he is glaringly unqualified to do. Sure, he got a
whole team of tired hacks from his father's days to help him, out, but nothing can
disguise the fact that he does not deserve to be where he is, no matter how much his
bought and owned press glorifies him.

His father at least had an inkling of how to run the place. Junior does not. Junior,
a man of no military or economic skill or experience has made a nice mess of what
exist prior to his assuming power, whether or not you think what was there before
was better. Junior dislikes foreign travel. This isn't surprising. He doesn't have
a whole lot of friends among his peers, let alone what they say when the cameras and
microphones are turned off.

If you want to make a really public display of how much you dislike the man, be prepared
for a LOT of grief, no matter WHAT the local laws say. You'll get it. If all you get is
fired from your job, consider yourself lucky.

The fact is, if this man were not his father's son, he would not have been celebrating his
birthday as Head of State, surrounded by sycophantic "advisors" who tell him what's what.
He would be in some lowly job as an uncivil servant somewhere, wishing he were doing
something else, but not having the skills or the drive to get there.

So it's his birthday. Pardon me if I don't celebrate.

It's the birthday of North Korea's Kim Jong Il.

Oh, did anyone think I meant someone else?

I wrote that one all on my lonesome. All mistakes and errors are
mine and mine alone, etc etc etc (or whatever it is those million-
book bestselling authors always say :-))
