Poll question: Does Clark's withdrawal give Edwards a legitimate shot at the nomination?
I kept hearing the pundits say that Clark or Edwards needed to drop out to give the other a "fighting chance" at beating John Kerry.

Well, as we all know, Clark's officially out as of 2pm today. Does that development give Edwards a legitimate opportunity to beat Kerry for the nomination, or is the Kerry candidacy on its inevitable path to the nomination?

I'm not going to include an "Other" option, but feel free to comment on other possibilities. I realize that I'm neglecting Dean, Kucinich, and Sharpton, but my post is primarily related to the claims that Clark and Edwards were splitting the South, keeping one or the other from competing with Kerry.

2. other
hoping that Clark dropping out will give Dean a bounce, since they were both outsider's with similar goals.

3. not sure
all Clark's supporters would have to go to Edwards to make a difference, not sure that's going to happen.

5. Clark supporters not likely to back a no-experience candidate
In my opinion, Clark supporters are not likely to back a candidate with as little leadership experience as Edwards. I would think they'd (we'd) gravitate towards experience and/or another outsider -- rather than to neither.
