Huckabee warns of wars with Islam, unhealthy behavior

NASHUA, N.H. Presidential hopeful Mike Huckabee is in New Hampshire today,
saying the United States is at war with a perversion of Islam and warning
that any bending of U.S. resolve will let the jihadists destroy the country.

The former Arkansas governor is making his first trip to the state as a
candidate for the Republican Party's presidential nomination. He told business
leaders today that the war isn't about borders or economics. He says it's about
ill-interpreted theology.

He said anything less than a resounding victory in Iraq and elsewhere would be
mean the end of American culture.

As governor of Arkansas, Huckabee cut taxes and made health care a top priority.
He lost 110 pounds after being diagnosed with diabetes and earned national
attention as an advocate of spending more money to prevent disease and less
money to treat it.

This is it, is it? Toe to toe with radical terrorists, little bearded bomb-throwers who will totally vanquish the entire United States of America if we don't win a "resounding victory"?

So, since this is an existential struggle for global domination, we can expect that a Huckabee administration will be instituting universal conscription, and while a brawl with a billion Muslims will be difficult, we the people of the United States should settle for nothing less, right?

But if not universal, compulsory conscription of every man and woman between the ages of 18 and 45, then why not? Shouldn't every resource of the Republic be brought to bear to avert the destruction of our country?

Or are you just talking tough out yer ass?
