The treatment of Mr. Louima is quite another matter, though, and I hope the media are vigilant in covering many of the grievous shortcomings of Rudy's terms as mayor.

His GOP opponents will begin chipping away at him in ads as a "big city liberal mayor back east," and they'll collectively gasp.

Another ad will suggest his support for lesbian and gay rights is "an invitation to sin," and suggest that "the next generations of American children" would fare better under more traditional ("bigoted") governance.

If the polls don't budge by then, it will be revealed by the Brownback campaign, let's say, that after his DIVORCE from his wife, who went on to star in THE VAGINA MONOLOGUES, Rudy split rent in an apartment with two gay men. I've lived in New York and while I hate Giuliani, I think finding an apartment AT ALL is a remarkable achievement. But those 28%ers will freak.

And Romney, let's say, will isolate Rudy on the pro-choice position.

The 9/11 hero garb is going to get bloodied pretty fast.

Dressing up as a woman for a party or something can be fun. But if you're seeking the Republican Party nomination it's probably not something you want on video.
