I received a "2007 New Directions Survey" from the DCCC last week

and it's still sitting on my desk. When I saw Emmanuel's name, I sort of stopped and decided to set it aside. I certainly don't mind sending in the money, no problem. It's just I want to be able to accommodate Gov. Dean when I hear from him, and I gather Dean and Emmanuel are not on the same page. The questions resemble a "wish list" and it is very inclusive. Anyone else get one and what do I need to know???

1. Chris Van Hollen is the new chairman of the DCCC.

From what I have read he and Dean have met and plan to work together in 08, and he is apparently not planning on intervening in primaries as Rahm loved to do.

2. Maybe an old form then. I'm reading Emmanuel's name still on it.

Probably using up the "old" stuff before breaking in the new material. Expensive stuff.
