Again,I have always thought that the defense of the United States and its ideals is a noble thing,and those performing it noble.What I see here is dishonorable.

5. Two combat tours in Iraq.....

Ok the water bottle thing, yeah those guys are assholes....no argument here, no defending it, disgusting....

The driving video?? That is exactly how they teach it...If that was my troops I would have praised them for keeping their cool... They nudged the bumpers of vehicles to get them to move...They didn't run anyone off the road and they avoided scaring pedestrians.....A classic textbook example of a soldier that took the Urban Driving course and paid attention... In Iraq IED's can be anywhere a lot of times insurgents will use another vehicle to slow down the american vehicle until it arrives in the kill zone...The gentle tap is a way of sensing out someone's motives, if they move out of the way immediately they probably aren't an insurgent..If they slam on their brakes, refuse to move or act hostile then they might be bad guys. say what you want but from a military point of view, that is some fine driving and a decent attempt to cause as little damage as possible while out on street patrol.

The crushing the car? The soldiers are a little rough around the edges, but that video is from 2003 during the invasion. (I think)...If so, our ROE at that time stated that if we encountered looters of any kind we were to disable their vehicles or otherwise impede their mobility and degrade their ability to loot. Shooting the vehicle is kind of lame, but crushing it with the tank was well within the ROE's concerning looters.

I will never ask for blind support or unwavering trust, but cmon?? Take the water bottle video out and you have americans following the Rules of engagement and not hurting Iraqis....Add the water bottle and you have 3 or 4 guys being dicks....there are dicks everywhere....

Anyway I expect I'll get some negative responses so I'll zip up now.....
