DU This poll on whether Congress should STOP Bush from deploying more troops
to Iraq.

Interestingly, I found the poll when reading an article promoting
Hagel for a Presidential run.

8. Interesting coincidence?
That "rebel" Hagel article headlines the page the poll is on?

IMO, Hagel is the repuke stealth candidate. His conservative credentials are impeccable, and he is against the action in Iraq (not clear about the hunt for OBL) which, in the anti-war mood sets him out as the person to go to when the country rejects the current administrations war position. He was 'elected' as the first elected repuke senator from Nebraska in more than two decades, by ES&S voting machines - which company he owned.

Just because he's against the war (and kudos to him for that position) does NOT make him one of the good guys.

10. I have been saying for some time that Hagel could be a contender in 08.
I think he's McCain's nightmare.
