At this point, anyone with two brain cells regardless of party would be better than bush. But since there is a small possibility that a republic might win, who in your opinion would do the least damage? Hagel? Gulliani? McCain? Lieberman? Someone else?

3. All candidates in the GOP are too toxic.
Hagel would at least face the realities for America in Iraq.

But don't bet on that. The GOP is ready to muzzle him!

Lieberman

....OH WAIT, thats not so funny. Thats kinda...scary!! :scared:

4. depends on
what you care about. Guliani wouldn't be horrid on social issues. But would be terrible on civil rights and the war. Hagel good on the war, horrible on social issues and the economy.

6. Hagel or Giuliani
Hagel because he'll stop this asinine war, or Giuliani, because he's reliably pro-choice, and pro-gay rights.

Unfortunately, those same qualities that make them a tiny bit less repulsive than their Repugnican peers also make them un-nominatible.

8. Rep. Ron Paul
The Texas Republican Paul, who IS running even though he gets
NO press, was against the Iraq War from the beginning. He's a
regular contributor to Antiwar.com.

He was also the Libertarian candidate for President back in
1988 I believe.

9. One I've never heard of yet
These fucks have aided and abetted the worst thing to ever happen to this country. And hopefully by 2008 even most of the Republican voters will feel the same way.

who would have any sort of realistic shot. I would find Lincoln Chafee to me more palatable than some of the Democrats who are running, but he's got about as much of a chance as I do at winning the GOP nomination. :)

13. There is no one from the "Republic Party" who can, or will win.

So it's a mute point to discuss this any further.

-------- They all suck.

BTW. What did we decide on regarding their official name anyway?

I've seen suggestions on here of the-

"Republic Party"?

the "Re-pube-lick Party"?

the "Rethug Party"?

Whatever the case ---- NONE OF THEM will win.

Did you hear Tucker read off Hagel's voting record yesterday ???? .... He has voted with Mistah Bush more than any other Republic in the party -------MORE THAN ANY OF THEM!!!!! ------- And he has only changed his tune since he decided to toy with running for president.

If you don't believe me, pull up Tucker Carlson's transcript from yesterday's program on MSNBC.

Please don't tell me some here are buying that he's "one of us" because of what he's saying regarding ONE item??

15. Representative Ron Paul - A true Patriot and worth any citizen's vote.

Appearing in Aaron Russo's AMERICA: FREEDOM TO FASCISM is Congressman Ron Paul, MD (R-Texas). Congressman Paul has established a national reputation as one of the leading advocates for personal liberty in politics today. He is also one of the most outspoken leaders of Congress when it comes to the limits of constitutional government, lowering taxes, free markets, and a return to sound monetary policies based on commodity-backed currency. Colleagues and constituents can be confident of his consistent voting record in the House of Representatives since Dr. Paul makes it a rule not to vote for legislation unless the proposed measure is expressly authorized by the Constitution. In the words of former Treasury Secretary William Simon, Dr. Paul is the "one exception to the Gang of 535" on Capitol Hill. LINK
