I think Clark is out.
Someone asked him if he was going to drop out. He paused. Then he said: We are going to talk about everything tomorrow. Also, reading his face and Wes Jr. sad face, I think he is dropping.

BTW, did anyone notice that he didn't say he was going to Wisconsin? He just said he was going to the future.

1. I heard
his wife introduce him as the next President of the United States. I don't think they're planning on dropping out.

4. If he was going to
Then he would have conceded tonight. He's not dropping out. He gave a magnificent speech tonight, and he is going to do nothing but more forward!!!

12. Not really
It would be different to have done it tonight. He owed it to his TN supporters to not throw cold water on their hard work. He will drop out quietly tomorrow - maybe even joining Kerry on the road. Everything points in that direction.

He looked pretty worn out.
Maybe like he had wiped a few tears away earlier.

I think he's going to drop out, but is waiting until tomorrow, after the dust settles and they get to sleep on it and see they feel in the morning.

7. He called Kerry and Edwards "patriots" and good people.
That part sounded like he was thinking about dropping out.

16. If that is your basis, then would think that since he entered the race
that is why I like Clark. He has always complimented others all the time. He even said some not to harsh things about Bush.

3. I think he is too
He needed to do a LOT better in the South to have any chance at all.

9. Yes
I do think that he will drop out tomorrow. I watched his speech tonight on CSPAN. The General definately has a huge place in our party. He would make a great VP nominee or just about any other place in the new administration.

Thanks General Clark for your message. You are a true Democrat!

5. I heard, "we're doing everything we can."
But I turned it off after that and he was still walking throught the crowd.

10. Remember when we were speculating whether Clark was going to run?
That was a lot more fun. I am sad.

8. Well, With Cross Over Voting In Open Primaries How Can Clark Win?
and with Diebold?

Honestly, how can he win with Republicans voting for Kerry and Edwards?

13. I heard that.
I will be sad if he drops out.

After hearing his speech, I thought of how important it is to
win this fall and Wes Clark has a brilliant message and a
sincere great hope for America.

15. Well, Russert did say he may drop out tomorrow
But that's Russert. I would think Clark would concede tonight if he was going to, like Gephardt and Lieberman did.

19. The first part of his speech was all about party unity
it seemed like he was laying the groundwork for dropping out.

If he does, I hope he finds a place in the next administration - or at least stays in politics. The country needs people like Wes Clark in government.
