Hagel
Sure he speaks out about Iraq, however, he is still who he is:

1. I know
But despite my many disagreements with him on specific issues, I still have to respect a guy who can tell his fellow senators to "go sell shoes" if they can't take the heat.

...let's hear him stand up to his corporate masters and start representing the people.

He is a phony.

4. He is a Republican
That is what Republicans do. But there used to be a time when Republicans could (and would) work civilly with Democrats and stand on principle now and again. Hagel shows that he can still do those things. Like I said, I disagree with him on a LOT of issues. But I think the GOP would be far better off if a few more of them were like Hagel.

5. Bilateral Support
I've always had some respect for Hagel....mostly because he isn't afraid to deviate from the party line on occasion. I used to think the same about McCain because of his campaign finance reform stance. Since then McCain's become a Bush cheer leader and kool aid drinker.

I probably disagree with Hagel on 85-90% of his positions, but appreciate his candor and ability to part company with his base on a very important issue, Iraq. Face it, most in the Republican party won't agree with most Democratic Party positions, or they'd be Democrats. But this vote is most importantly about bilateral support.
