Send Their Kids

Here is a resoultion that I contend should be binding. Anyone in Congress who supports and/or votes for the President's plan to increase the number of troops in Iraq must sign at least one of their 17 year or older children up for the military. In addition, their child must be one of the 21,000 military members who goes to Iraq. Those particular children will be prohibited from being sent to any region around Iraq; they must go directly to Iraq and stay in country (baring grave injury) until all surge troops are removed from Iraq. In addition, at least one member of both the Bush and Cheney family will have to report for duty in Iraq until the end of the deployment of the surge troops.

Before anyone says anything I know that a resoultion like this would never pass in Congress. However, I wish at least one Democrat would try something like this just to prove that the Republican support for this war is fake. If the children of most of the people who are pushing for this surge had to be a part of the surge they would vote against the surge.
