A Must Watch: "Bill Moyers on the Secret Government" 1980's Documentary just Released!

The cast of characters in this Documentary on Iran-Contra are still players today. (Saudi's, Spies, Think Thanks, RW Donors, Govt. Double Dealing). The script is being replayed in the White House today with "modifications." This was a PBS Documentary from the 80's (when we had REAL invstigation)that has only been seen in the 20 minute snip but is now released in the 90 Minute Version. All DU'ers should watch this and pass it around to everyone you know and every website you visit. It's so relevant to our current time and the whole Iraq Invasion and Iran that it needs to get out there. It streams on your computer (if you have high speed)so you don't need to download a big file. Just click and you are into it. The Jackson Brown song and video montage in the first few minutes will have tears streaming down your face...for the power and relevancy to what we are living through today.

I wish DU Dial-Ups could find a way to watch this. I was on Dial-Up just got wireless and a new computer and it's unbelievable how worth it is to be able to see this Documentary and others out there without having to do complicated downloads that took forever and crashed.

Anyway....this is a MUST WATCH for the NEW CENTURY. Anyway you can do it...and if you can't then please pass it along to anyone who can. It may save our country if we can trace today back to the same lies and coverups and Saudi money and Spies and the involvement by those people who are still working at the SHADOW GOVERNMENT!

14. You know...back in the early 90's he did a PBS Special on Disappearing Farms and

how families were dealing with it. Once agains Moyers was ahead of his time in that the FAMILY FARM was being SOLD OUT TO AGRI-BUSINESS.

At the time I lived in New Jersey and while I appreciated it and loved his background from Texas talking about this (and, I'm in his age range) I didn't see it yet in NJ.

Later I moved to North Carolina (Home of Smithfield Pork Killing Agri-business where Cloning or whatever they can do to push pork massacred by IMMIGRANTS is SUPREME in the ECONOMY) and I remembered what Moyers said in that Documentary from way back when I lived in NJ. And, I cry my eyes out as to WHERE our Meat Comes From and I worry about our Veggies given the Bush/Cheney Sell Out on Enviro-Regulations.

and it was good to see. You are correct...so many of the same characters who are involved today were involved then...and what about their protege's who were "up and coming" who are now in charge. It's scary to see some kind of CYCLE with these NeoCons and Secret/Shadow Govt. and to know that they came back even STRONGER after Iran/Contra. Who would have thought. :-(

15. Dial-up sucks!!!! I've tried every way from Sunday to try & download this ...

but I can't get a resumable downloader (I like flashget) proggy to work w/video google. My ISP times out at @ 3.5 hours ... not long enough to watch or d/load in one sitting on dial-up.:argh:

If anybody knows of a link to download this in batches - HOLLER loud!

I know...I went through it myself...until I just coughed up the money

for "wireless" and I had to get new computer..but it was time for computer it was slowpowered and weak..8 years old with no card to allow fast graphics and stuff.

See if you can find a friend to download it for you on a CD/DVD or try to find a library site. It's worth it to see it...it really is and that's why I told folks in OP to do it whatever way you can and send it.

But...I understand the Dial Up...after a year of crashing trying to download things that took hours and using WinME that folks said was crap but I couldn't afford for awhile to upgrade and I was comfortable with where I was. :-(

Check the library for view..maybe yours has a higher speed. I'm hoping others can give more solutions that don't involve buy high speed or a new computer....

18. At Times You'll Probably Think It's About What's Happening Right Now...

Of course, it is about what's been going on now, during the * Administration, as ramped up extensions of what came before. Sure, it uses the Reagan Administration and Iran-Contra as egregious examples, but it covers a wide range of American mis-steps and abuses since the rise of the "National Security" doctrine in the late 40's.

It's too relevant to the grab for power by the Executive and the perpetual state of war to be ignored; it very much is a 'must watch'. Even if you've seen it before, unless it's been in recent years, you should think about watching it again--I had seen it long ago, but it didn't make the impression then that it did this time around.
