Watching SOTFUU Address on my TiVO, Cheney is ILL
Watch DeadEye Dick breathing heavy. I noticed it while the beginning was being shown last night and then I fell asleep.

***Dick Cheney is very ill**** Most likely from CHF.

If you fast forward the address, as I am now doing to bypass the Liar in Chief, you can see Cheney visibly struggling for air in the background. He's gonna croak one of these days.

1. his cover got blown BIG-TIME in court Tuesday
Maybe Libby double-crossed him, or maybe he knew it was coming, I don't know. But Cheney's suddenly facing the possibility of hard time.

31. Thanks!
I've had that avatar on here for years. I was thinking of changing it to Nick Saban, but I guess I should see how he works out first. :)

2. I saw him slip something in his mouth--nitroglycerine, or candy?
He does seem to fall asleep for a bit, there. Also, he RARELY blinks. Pelosi is blinking out what looks like a repetitive S-O-S (like the POWs did, spelling out TORTURE!!!).

4. That or Beano
I saw him sneak something into his mouth too, and swallow hard. He's also looking...bloated. CHF water retention, or too much dining out?

5. CHF,
From Smirking Chimp blog:

One important fact that's rarely mentioned in regards to the VP is his health. He is a sick man. A medical professional I know, examining the known medical reports on Cheney, offered this analysis: "Cheney has stage IV congestive heart failure, and the permanent pacemaker he has is also a defibrillator. With his current degree of cardiomyopathy and congestive failure, his risk of ventricle fibrillation arrest is high. He is perennially edematous , and frequently goes into the hospital for iv diuresis. His brain is likely underperforming because of the CHF . He is almost certainly on amiodarone for his heart (can't imagine him not being on it), which is toxic to other organs, especially the liver. Because of the cardiomyopathy, he is probably warfarizined . He's somebody who needs hospitalization at any time, and no rational White House physician could conceivably have declared him medically suited to be VP. http://www.smirkingchimp.com/thread/3343

Makes perfect sense in explaining his penchant for power napping.

23. Grain of salt
First, if he had stage IV CHF he wouldn't be able to get around; he can obviously do that. There is no way anyone who hasn't examined him can tell whether or not he's edematous; it is something one has to see up close. I'm someone who lives with CHF and this kind of shit really irritates me. I didn't like it when Frist did it to Schaivo and I don't like armchair physicians do it to people with CHF either.

24. Well, I think it's common knowledge that Cheney has
serious health problems. Sorry that you have to deal with CHF, it's no picnic.

25. The question isn't Cheney's well-known health problems
It's the suppositions about his medication, his IV diruesis. the stage of his heart failure, and the morbid joy the writer obviously gets in attempting to offer an "expert" opinion based on inadequatre information. I'm surprised he didn't also offer a guess of Cheney's EF, his BNP level, and his dosage of Coreg. Christ.

6. Hell, it coulda been M and Ms!!! He likes to eat.
He's known to swipe the steak off Lynne's plate at those fundraisers. When there's surf and turf on the menu, Lynne tells them to skip the steak for Dickie, so he steals hers when she isn't looking. Someone had some tape of him spearing her steak and moving it to his plate--wish I could find it now.

But as for the little move at the SOTU, I was inclined to think it was medicine...

8. She's probably having a bit of facelift-itis. I notice that people who get them
often blink a lot. Bob Dole had a problem with it for quite awhile (and damn, he looks like shit--he should stop with the facelifts, so should his wife). Pelosi's looks pretty good, though--I think she had minimal tweaking, but maybe they did a little too much around the eyes.

I'm no expert on facelifts, I only notice the ones that look horrible...like Kate O'Beirne!! Hers looked like it fell down after a few weeks...kinda like Greta Van Susteren--she looked like a Barbie Doll for about six months, and then the thing started to slip....now she looks like she did before she went under the knife.

18. Maybe it was a bit of both!!!!
Damn, my eyes are a bit tight--might as well use the time I'm stuck here to loosen them up AND send a distress signal!!!

Hell, she didn't get to be Madame Speeeekah without being able to multitask decisively!!!

I do think she's swell, though--she and Webb saved the evening from being a total fiasco.

19. They all should talk to Barbra Walters--whoever reararranges her face is an artist.
She looks good, but she doesn't look like Lenin's corpse. Her face is sufficiently realistic and doesn't look like a mask.

It's interesting how this culture hates people to look like humans who've LIVED. They're forced to botox, slice, lift, chop, cut, lipo and so forth. And that custom of injecting Soylent Green Dead People into wrinkles is just....ugh....disgusting! You have to wonder how many people realize it IS dead people that is being injected into their faces?

To me, one of the most authentic faces in the world, and one that I like looking at, is that of Helen Thomas. There's no bullshit there!

10. You saw that, too?
I thought I was the only one in the country who picked up on that one -- and that I was hallucinating. I didn't even post about it thinking I was just "projecting" my dislike of him.

He's had a rough couple of days, too. The stress could be taking a big toll on him. I guess crime doesn't pay after all.

12. Pill popping on national TeeVee. Sucked without water tho...
It was quite funny to see him try to swallow the pill once it was in his mouth. You could almost imagine him sitting there thinking "Oh shit. I just popped this pill and I can't reach my glass of water. Fuck, this horse pill is gonna choke me on national tee vee. Ok, calm down. Just swirl up some saliva in my mouth. Think about oil gouging. Condi in a bathing suit. Good, getting some drool. Swallow!!!!!" That was good. I need some water.

11. Pretty soon they will just carry his dead body around for photo ops
like "Weekend At Bernie's". I thought he has looked extremely ill for about the last six months. He is constantly hunched over and pale. Oh well. Satan may have a new room mate soon cuz he sure is not going to heaven. I hope he hangs on. I just could not bear a week long televised funeral that spewed a bunch of bull about how wonderful he was! YUK.

or setting up a scenario whereby he can resign "for health reasons."

Just sayin'.

22. Great minds think alike!!!! I thought the very same thing, actually.
What do they have, so far? Or what can they make up?

How about this: He shot his pal because he fainted--that's why his buddy wasn't mad at him and everyone was covering for him.

There's all those stories about him falling asleep in meetings.

There's odd pictures of him using a cane due to "gout"...

And now, pill-popping in the House...

Hell, NIXON stayed off the stand with PHLEBITIS...which is categorized as bullshittus majoris in the "archives of excuses for not testifying" ....

They could well be building a portfolio!

He wore a bathrobe when he went out and babbled constantly to himself. What was that guy's name?

Anyway, we should start expecting Darth to appear increasingly "incompetent", LOL.
