is tom brokaw a complete idiot, or does he just think WE are? on KO's program tonight, I heard that
der chimpenfuhrer has been in office for SEVEN years--brokaw said something like this at least three times that I heard before I got annoyed and shut the tv off. last time I checked my math, jan of 2001 to jan of 2007 is NOT SEVEN years, but six.

does anybody have any idea what the hell that was all about?

thank you in advance.

2. I don't always agree with Tom Brokaw, but I respect him enormously...
He's a great journalist, a great fisherman, and a great Montanan.

By the way -- the right wing HATES him.

He's making the mistake many people make of totaling up the years
rather than the time between them.

You know--2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007. Seven years. He forgets that between 2001 and 2007 there are only SIX actual years.

I don't think it's a big deal. I certainly don't think it means he's an idiot.

12. He may have been referring to this the 7th SOTU speech.
2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 = 7

14. He was definitely slurring his words tonight
Does he have some kind of medical condition no one is aware of? It was strange. By the way, it feels like Georgie has been in office 30,000 years so I'll let this one go.
