Bush may not seek reappointment in 08.
Despite the unabated accumulation of powers that would make indefinite extension a slam dunk, the issue of congressional cacophony has actually come up. Rove cautioned against introducing the term "macacaphoney" before the SOTU. "As interesting as it is linguistically", he said, "the democrats could too easily turn this one on us". Bush noted that with that one off the table, the (congressional) branch thing is now clean. Do you want to cut it off now, heh, heh, or come up with another one of your, heh, heh, heh, "sayings"?. Everyone came away from the meeting believing that the decider considered playing the branch thing a little funnier for now, despite earlier decisions on the other branch thing.

But the fact that the United States Congress even came up, has led some observers to believe there could be ripples. "Nonsense", said William Kristol, quoting what he termed the "highest source", "Crack is good, I like that, but ripples is just a theory."

The reference to the ripples theory, stems from a little reported story years ago when the term "credibility gap", unheard for decades, was allegedly spoken at a meeting about the privatization of the Grand Canyon. Although the offending official resigned within hours, the ripples theory was born, the "worst unintended consequence of this administration", according to Dick Cheney.

While ordinary Americans are still permitted to use the term "congress", the reported indirect reference to the "c" word in an actual White House meeting has sent chills down the spine of the world banking community, causing them to reopen discussions of what is to happen in January 09. "This is only strike two", said an unnamed Chase Manhattan spokesperson, seeking obviously to quell the rumors and tone things down a little.
