Chris Matthews is suddenly afraid of Bush.
This is the man who drooled over Bush in his codpiece, and was behind him all the way.:eyes:

1. Mr. Matthews has said "we went to war" 1,892 times, give or
take a few hundred. What an excitable boy.

14. Welcome to DU
and yes he does

Now to your diabetes, the easiest way is to get them pills (meds) with your meal

Otherwise you might be looking forwards to Insulin earlier than you expect

Oh and yes I got it too and I do work hard to keep it under control but as a former medic I have seen some really crazy and scary shit (yes from out of control diabetics)

15. Hint for taking pills...
Suction cup hanger with a "daily pill minder" attached to bathroom mirror.
Works like a charm. I never forget. Got to take those meds for diabetes.
The alternative is so much worse.

2. Now we have before us one of the primary reasons that
wingy sycophants prefer somnambulism, to wit:
waking up to the real nightmare can be very uncomfortable.
Tweety is terrified, with damn good reason.

3. He pretty much said that * was insane...
...and we had to watch his trigger finger. I am getting vibes from Tweety and a lot of the other talking heads that they know an attack on Iran is coming soon.

9. Are you sure of that? Maybe he just
doesn't want Dems to have control of all three branches of the government...look what happened to our country when the Thugs got hold of power and way back the Dems had their turn with the uglies when they got too powerful. But, I don't think Tweety necessarily wants of Rethug in office. I really think he is as turned off as we are. I have a feeling he wants Edwards. He certainly gave him a lot of TV time and smiles. I think he also likes McCain and probably hasn't made up his mind yet. Who knows?

11. Just a little Tweety trivia .......
Edited on Fri Jan-19-07 10:24 PM by Husb2Sparkly
.... and mind you, I'm not sticking up for the guy ..... he's just plain nutty ..... but right after the Maryland primaries he had Kweisi Mfume on as a guest. Mfume had just lost the primary to the equally good Ben Cardin. Tweety said to him (and this is a VERY close paraphrase) "I sure wish you won the primary. You were my guy and you got my vote."

I'll let that little tidbit stand for whatever story it tells .......

FUCK YOU, matthews. You're part of the PROBLEM, not the solution. And your Johnnie-come-lately "conversion" rings hollow.

Don't worry. If by any chance bush's ratings go up even a point or two, ol' chrissy-boy can be counted on to strap his presidential kneepads back on.

18. You mean chrissie has a conscience? Guilt pangs? Buyer's remorse?
EVERYBODY on camera, or prominently in print, or anywhere else who bowed and scraped to bush, or oohed and ahhed about him, has blood on their hands as far as I'm concerned. They're not just apologists or spinners, they're ACCOMPLICES. They're accessories to his crimes. Because they were ALL uniquely and perfectly positioned to stop him early-on, to tell the truth about him, to educate the electorate via expose and investigative reporting. They could have nipped him in the bud had they started doing their jobs in 1999 when he was starting to rear his ugly head on the national political landscape, or AT LEAST during the 2000 campaign.

They are ALL complicit. They are ALL to blame. Anybody who carried water for him or cheerleaded for him, ANYBODY who looked the other way when he was starting to run amok, ANYBODY who turned a blind eye and a deaf ear to what he was up to, anybody who refused to blow the whistle, and joined in the silencing and suppression of oppositional thinkers and speakers, ANY of those - is complicit in bush's crimes, JUST as guilty, and has all that blood in Iraq and unnecessary death and destruction and waste and theft - on their hands. They could have stopped it, and they didn't. Either out of ignorance, or cowardice, or pandering. They had available to them ALL THE MATERIAL WE HAD, HERE ON THE INTERNET, ALL the stuff that exposed this bastard, that WE knew about here on DU and elsewhere online. WE knew enough to oppose him and to try to stop him. They had all these same resources and inputs, and chose to ignore or dismiss them all.

FUCK them. FUCK every last one of them. They're as guilty, detestable, and damnable as he is, in my opinion. They could have been our salvation, our rescue from all this. Instead, they enabled and expedited it all.

23. Best rant of the day and every word is true
Edited on Sat Jan-20-07 12:04 PM by Lasher
I wrote Tweety off when he obsessed about how great Junior looked when he dressed up in his "costumes" as a military pilot and cowboy. I mean, that was nutty as a fruitcake.

But insofar as these pundits in general are concerned, it's good some seem to be finally seeing the light but I really don't want these 'reformed' enablers to change their tune and continue stinking up the airwaves. I want them replaced with someone else. Maybe Keith Olbermann is helping achieve that, I don't know. But I'm some kinda sick of these pundits who have done nothing week after week after week but cheerlead for Republicans and attack Democrats. That's what you get when you trash the Fairness Doctrine then allow media consolidation and ownership by a few ultra-rich right wingers.

And thanks for reminding me, calimary, this goes back to before the 2000 election when these media whores gave Junior a pass on every single thing and attacked Al Gore. Well you could go all the way back to Reagan with that thought process but don't get me started on Saint Ronnie.

Edit: Recommended on account of calimary's quality rant.

29. Yes, it has come down to BushCo and the Corporate Media vs.
the American People.

For example, the 800-lb gorilla in the corner for the last 6 years has been the 500,000-plus voters who voted for Al Gore and were completely ignored by both BushCo and the Corporate Media when James "The Fixer" Baker was called in to "persuade" the Bushistas on the Supreme Court to throw the election to the loser, George Jr.

And the Corporate Media was complicit in this. IIRC, just before the election of 2000 when it appeared that Geo Bush would win the popular vote and Al Gore the electoral college, Chris Matthews wrote an editorial suggesting that Gore concede since Bush won the popular vote. When just the opposite happened, Matthews said nothing. Not only was this inaction hypocritical, it reinforced what many of us knew already: that CorpoMedia was in bed with the Bushistas.

So now the 800-lb gorilla is awake and angry. Enablers like Matthews are realizing that they should have been doing the jobs all along, instead of lying for the Bushistas. But they're too late: I hope the gorilla sits hard on him and his fellow "professional journalists."

31. I agree with you. Every last one of them is an accomplice
and a knowing accomplice at that. Like you said, if we on DU were on to * and his warmongering cabal early on, so were they. They had ALL the resources available to them that we did, and then some. They CHOSE to look the other way; they CHOSE to bolster the credibility of the liars and smear and discredit the truth-tellers.

I often wish there was some way we could collectively impeach the corporate media.
