D.C. Dirt as reported on Tucker's program on (MSNBC)
Edited on Fri Jan-19-07 05:19 PM by partylessinOhio
Tim Russert on crutches, he broke his ankle.

Did I hear that right?

Yes, here it is:

He is expected to be the star witness for the prosecution in the trial of Lewis "Scooter" Libby, Vice President Dick Cheney's former chief of staff, who is charged with lying about the disclosure of the identity of a CIA officer.

During an interview with the Times-Union before his talk, Russert said it is the first time he has been subpoenaed.

"It is nothing I relish," he said, adding that he learned long ago from the nuns at his Buffalo, N.Y., parochial school that it is much easier to just tell the truth.

Russert had with him his sister, Trish Scozzaro, and his niece, Paige Scozzaro, who live in St. Augustine.

He used crutches, recovering from a broken ankle.

6. I'm disappointed. I wanted dirt on Tucker.
So, what are we to think? The mob breaks people's knees and the BFEE breaks people's ankles?

8. What's weird is...
Scooter broke his leg last year about the time that the charges were brought. These guys are rather accident prone aren't they?

15. He had a broken leg or hip shortly after the investigation started.
Whether he broke it or he had help...I always wondered.
