Seriously, once we no longer need that asshole to maintain our majority, he should be stripped of his committee chairmanship and seniority. Let him know he's not going to be dealt with if he keeps stabbing the party in the back and giving Bush a free pass.

1. They want to now. When they get a bigger majority they will freeze him out.

3. Do you have proof of that statement?
That the Dems want him out now? I haven't seen anything like that, but maybe I missed something. He does need to go though.

4. Works for me.
Then the guy's done in 4 more years. He'll NEVER get elected here again. I'm hearing from people who didn't want to hear from me pre-election about him. Poo-pooed me -- oh she's just such a raving lunatic liberal...

Now they know.

Much buyer's remorse amoung Lieberman voters.

5. Whose looking vulnerable?
I mean, we could possibly pick up a seat in Colorado but Landrieu is doomed so we would just break even.

We should just send lieberman to iraq.

8. Landrieu will be in for a tough fight but don't count her out
Her approval ratings hover around 50 which could certainly be worse. It will also depend very much on who the GOP gets to run. The Louisiana GOP has a history of running candidates that self destruct.

As far as other pickups go, Coleman in Minnesota and Sununu in New Hampshire will be prime targets. If John Warner retires then Virginia will definitely be in play and if Susan Collins retires in Maine you can almost definitely put that one in our column.

Pete Domenici says he's running again but it's still not in stone.

Also, Mississippi of all places might be a tossup but two things need to happen. First, Thad Cochran needs to retire. Second, Mike Moore has to run and that means he has to forgo the Governor's race in 2007.

10. I think that there will be more vulnerabilities as the time nears
bushco is aggressively *not* listening to the will of the people and trying to force the Congressional GOP to follow him over the plank. Some are so reflexively partisan that they will resist being perceived as 'helping the dems thwart bush' that they will make themselves more vulnerable. Two years out folks really didn't anticipate the vulnerabilities of Talent, Allen and Burns.

6. I think if we get a bigger majority in '08, Lieberman is gone
The Dems would likely strip him of his chairmanship of the Govt. Oversight Cmte., which would in turn, cause him to leave the party. And then we can all have one big party!

7. We should at least take away his charimanship of Homeland Security if he won't do his fucking job
FEMA was so fucking negligent that the question isn't should we investigate, it's where do we start?
