Does anyone remember the documentary about GW's military records
Edited on Sat Jan-13-07 10:15 PM by Frustratedlady
being "cleaned" out? There was a TV special or long segment about some woman going to a basement on a military base, reviewing the files and, after she left, the janitor or some other employee seeing papers with his name on them in a refuse barrel. I believe this was during the Swiftboating of Kerry about his military experiences.

My memory isn't the best, but when Harriet Miers was chosen for the Supreme Court and all the controversy over her being selected, a bell went off that she was the woman who expunged those records. I need help from clearer minds than mine.

1. A suggestion-do a google search on "George W. Bush's military records destroyed"
there's lots to research.

The Decider's military records are gone.

2. I am searching and, you're right...there are a lot of items to read...
But, I can still see that basement or room where the files were looked through and the barrel where the destroyed papers were thrown. I KNOW I saw a documentary on it. It couldn't be a dream as I NEVER dream about George.

4. i'm not sure,
but i believe dan rather lost his job along with a woman reporter whose book was excerpted in vanity fair sometime during the past couple of years. they got canned for reporting on gw's military NON-service, and the reason they got canned was that somehow someone cast enough doubt on the validity of the records that were leaked to them. the network had to roll their heads or the bushies wouldn't be their best friend, whahhh

i'll try to find the magazine and get back to you with her name. not sure it's the same story you're thinking of. with respect to harriet myers on the web somewhere there are copies of correspondence between her and gw and her tone is so sycophantic and syrupy i found it nauseating "ooh gw you're just the best governor and you're gonna be the very best president and ooh my oh my" seriously disgusting. the correspondence had to do with an appearance by gw to some "do" she was involved in, i believe.
