McGovern, George U.S. Senator (1963-1981), D-SD

George McGovern, former Senator and 1972 Democratic presidential nominee, talked about his plans for withdrawing U.S. troops from Iraq. He responded to questions submitted by members of the audience.

Former Senator McGovern is the co-author, with William Polk, of Out of Iraq: A Practical Plan for Withdrawal Now, published by Simon and Schuster.

1. I listened to this today
It was fabulous and very educational. These guys are still sharp despite advanced years. McGovern has formed a "Council of Elders", including both Dem and GOP sages which he hopes can pass on some wisdom to the folks running the show right now. He referred to GWB as "Bush the Lesser", LOL!!
