norm coleman (R) senator jumped ship like the rat he is...

"I don't want to embarrass the president, but my position is clear," said Coleman, who visited Iraq last month. "I do not believe that a surge in troops is going to solve the fundamental problem we have."

Coleman and other Republicans are becoming increasingly public with their view that the ongoing violence in Baghdad requires a political solution, not a military one. "Iraqis have to decide they're going to stop killing themselves," he said.

8. And the Bushbot in Minnesota's 2006 Senate race was creamed
by the DFL candidate. Let's wait and see what Normie does when this comes to vote. Then we'll find out if the weasel has really jumped ship or just trying on his life jacket.

4. Norm *I only decide which party I am based on current popular
opinon* backs away from Bush... after his poll numbers drop to 30 with support for the war and the surge being comparable. Yep, Norm's words have credibility :eyes:

10. yup, we've got nothing to do with it, they're just determined to die horribly.
:banghead: This is one of the most frustrating things about hawks ... their tendency to undervalue the lives of people they don't identify with. Since they see the Iraqis as completely foreign, they don't mind causing death and suffering in Iraq. They might impatiently call the deaths "unfortunate" if someone backs them into a corner, but they privately consider compassion for the enemy a weakness.
