Did * Pull Back Negroponte To Shut Down The Death Squads?.....
* put Negroponte into the Iraqi mess to fire up the death squads and give him justification to continue this so called 'war'. But this was before Nov 7th and when he still thought that he would have the Repug Congress to back him up. Since Nov 7th things changed and he realizes now that he won't be able to continue this so called 'war' in the style that he was accustomed to. So in order to increase his chances that his plan that he will be unveiling tomorrow night will work - he had to stop Negroponte's stoking the fires of war and stop the death squads and the killing.

In this case by death squads I mean that Negroponte had control of manpower in Iraq that was sent out to start trouble and incite the various factions - to keep this so called 'war' going.

If that is taken away from the equation - * probably feels that his plan may have a chance in working.

Just a theory.

1. Nah, they're on automatic, now.
Wind them up and let them go. He just wasn't needed anymore. He did his job.

2. Can you be more specific about WHO you say are these "death squads"?
Also, please cite some evidence of these squads.

4. It's difficult to really prove anything definitively, but
here's an article about the consideration.

3. Condi is gonna quit, perhaps
And he will replace her. There will be no argument if he's doing the second banana job already.

That's my suspicion. I hope I am wrong. He'd be disastrous as State's 'lead dog.'

6. The civil war is in full swing now, I don't think Negroponte's special skills
are required any longer.
