Illinois Sen. Barack Obama says he won't announce whether he is running for President until early next month, but in a thank-you note to New Hampshire fans he sounds as if his mind is already made up.
"Americans are ready to turn the page," Obama wrote to Granite State Democrats who gave him a rapturous reception Dec. 10.

"This is our moment to write our own chapter in the history books, and this is our time to lead. It all started in New Hampshire, but we still have a long way to go, so please visit BarackObama.com to see how you can join me in this effort in the days and months to come."

Obama is in Hawaii with his family.
