Terra Terra Part XXVI - Jailed cleric's illness triggers al Qaeda attack fears

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- The imprisoned blind cleric who inspired the 1993 World Trade Center bombing has been hospitalized, raising fears of new attacks if he dies in U.S. custody, the FBI said in a bulletin.

UK 'plot' terror charge dropped

Terrorist innocient? Bush putting off his decision on Iraq until the New Year? What a coincidence, a new terror alert. How can there be Al Qaeda in the USA? I mean, Bush put an end to them right? We are safer now, right? Everything is going swimmingly, right Ann? Perhaps Bush is hoping, I mean plannning, for another attack to try to convince America that we need to stay in Iraq. Yeah, I know, sounds a bit tin foilish. Despite the rant I predict the Bush Administration will continue to use "terrorist" threats in hopes he can salvage his administration. Judging by the lack of response on here on DU about the terrorist threats, I believe most of us view these terrorist threats like they view "The Boy Who Cried Wolf". How many times will this administration cry wolf? Will this administration resort to scare tactics to push Bush's "Stay the Course", I mean "staying until the job is done" montra. There is no doubt in my mind that Bush is going to dump Iraq in the laps of the Democrats.

1. As much as I cannot stand
the MSM and their cheerleading in alot of these efforts, there is truth in what they are saying.

This is part of the problem. We cannot simply take the OPPOSITE view of republicans and the MSM all the time. They can be correct or accurate sometimes. In many cases it sometimes is the opposite, but when it comes down to terrorism, there are kernals of truth in it.

Especially after our incursion, occupation and destruction of Iraq, we have put ourselves at greater risk.

If this Sheik dies, it just throws more fuel on the fire and we do need to be aware of the possibilities. He will be seen as a martyr and a poster boy for further action against the West and Israel.
