ABOARD AIR FORCE ONE, Aug. 31 -- As his blue-and-white jet swooped low over New Orleans and the Gulf Coast, President Bush pressed his face against the window and stared out at oblivion. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2005/08/31/AR2005083101283.htmlIn September of 2005 the nation waited for some one to lead the country and help those in New Orleans. My Bush loyalist friends burned with embarrassment as the saw the president 'visit' New Orleans in a Air Force One flyover at 5000 feet. (pic below)

As with Katrina, in Iraq people are dying. With Katrina we saw a defining moment in the Bush presidency. For millions willing to give Bush the benefit of the doubt on so many other Bush blunders the realization finally set in that this was an incompetent administration. His poll numbers plummeted. And now with Iraq war, the country stands again at a Katrina moment. The country is clearly focus on the issues of the Iraq war. The freshly released ISG report has been digested. Conditions have been deteriorating for years. While soldiers die and civilians are slaughtered this president will attend his Christmas parties. He'll return to his ranch in Texas to clear brush. In the coming weeks we'll see car bombs and soldier's lives spent. The green zone becomes more vulnerable. While a worried nation waits Bush will once again fiddle. For the nation here comes Bush's second Katrina moment.
