The 2008 Dem Nominee for Governor of CA Should Be....
David Geffen!

Why not? First, he's a billionaire so he can self-finance his campaign. Second, it's healthy for our democracy to have an openly Gay man run for a major office. Lord knows, there's been plenty of closeted Gay men and women in office.

1. He is very liberal and will not win in CA. A moderate would be better.

He's definitely not the kind of person I want running the state.

7. The CA gubernatorial race isn't until 2010....
Rumor has it that Anthony Villaraigosa will run.

Jane Harman might give it another try, after her recent House Committee snub.

There's also John Garramendi, our incoming Lieutenant Governor. Although he might decide to remain in that office for awhile.

While I'm not her biggest fan, I'd like to maybe see Dianne Feinstein run for Governor, if only to get her out of the U.S. Senate.

On the Republican side for the gubernatorial race in 2010, get ready for "stand-up guy" and conservative shill Tom McClintock (who lost to Garramendi last month).

Debra Bowen should stay right where she is! We need her as SoS for the next eight years. Bowen can run for Governor in 2018 (or Lieutenant Governor in 2014).
