RFK link?
I saw the movie Bobby last night with my wife. I was trying to explain to her the reception that RFK got during the DNC in 64, when he came on stage to give a memorial speech about his brother John F. Kennedy.

I remember there was something like 20 minutes of ovation, and he was genuinely embarrassed by the crowd's response to his presence on stage. I remember him stepping back from the podium, as if he did not know what to do...

Does anyone have a link to this video? I have searched through google all day and havent been able to find it... only the audio of the speech.

Thanks!

2. I dont actually remember it as it happened
...since I was born in 1969. At some point I saw the video of it in full... I wish I knew where or when. It wasn't recently, and wasn't on the internet.

Anyhow, in my meanderings this afternoon I found the following link to some audio recordings of his speeches. The "Mindless Menace of Violence" speech the day after(?) MLK was killed is by far my favorite.

3. You might want to check your Public Library to see if they have this one:
Title Statement: Robert F. Kennedy
Additional Title: Speeches of Robert F. Kennedy

Description: 1 videocassette (55 min.) : sd., col. and b&w ; 1/2 in.

Notes: Title from cassette label.
"MP 1689"
VHS format.

Summary: Robert Kennedy was one of the most moving and effective speakers of our time. Here are his speeches at Columbia University, to the Democratic convention in 1964, his proposals on Vietnam policies, and his heart-rending eulogy at the funeral of his brother John.
