WTF is up with Tiki Barber?
I just saw him whoring himself on Fox and Friends and he was playing into their little right wing games. Is he really that conservative or is he just selling out to break into broadcasting? I used to really respect the guy but after his performance this morning I really have my doubts.

They are also trying to sway the hispanic vote to their side. They could care less about the issues that both of these groups are facing. Just my humble opinion.

47. Do we as democrats have a monopoly on Black people?
I think not. No race is that monolithic. I would very much
prefer if there were abundent people of every race in every
party. That shows we are all "thinking" people.

It was the first time I had seen him in that arena. Most of us have done things that compromised our beliefs to a certain degree in order to advance ourselves.

66. Choosing the lesser of two evils is not the same as playing a part to advance your career.
In one case you're doing the best you can under the circumstances. In the other, you're screwing over someone else to get what you want. (Of course there are Dems who do that, too -- and we need to get rid of them.)

45. I saw a bit ...
with him and them a week or two back ... They have this obnoxious little weasel guy, dark curly hair ... Get this, no lie ... He went on with a story about how he burned himself that morning with his hot latte ... NO SHIITE ... A decade and a half of Rush Limbaugh and company railed NONSTOP about Latte drinking liberals, and this little puke whinning around about how he burned himself with a latte ...

These people are just freakin insane ...

As for Tiki, I got the sense that morning that he felt he was above the rest of the "Fox and Friends" ... He didn't say much anything of substance, and they pretty much kissed his butt ... That he is doing Fox, I don't know about his "personal" thoughts or philosophy, but as most noted, it strikes me as a opportunistic thing ...

Whatever ...

25. My football loving hubby detests Tiki
He has turned out to be a pompous ass and he can't stand him anymore. He has seen interviews where Tiki thinks he will be a big time broadcaster, stepping over people who have has years of experience. The fact that he was whoring himself on Fox will make hubby like him even less! Being in Connecticut, I grew up a Giants fan but switched to the Patriots when I met my husband in college. Tom Brady is a republican but he doesn't go around trumpeting it. What a jerk Tiki is. But he fits in on a team with Jeremy Shockey "I hate gays" on it.

When I googled him and republican, I saw that apparently he is undeclared in his CA voter registration, that he is interested in running for office and that he once said he admired Gerald Ford.

I haven't even seen with the OP is talking about but I can guarantee its been exaggerrated.

...you've failed. Is it fair? Hardly, except they do play in a market with a lot more media exposure, and often for owners with much deeper wallets. Go ask A-Rod. So, yeah, I'll judge Tiki Barber by those same standards, given that he's barely the best running back in his division, but his retirement is being treated as if it should be seen as some "end-of-an-era" crap.

See Knicks, Rangers, Giants & Jets history which is not a winning one. With the Yankees, its the WS ring or the season is a failure.

Jets and Giants fans will be excstatic if their teams make the playoffs. Knicks fans will know to reduce the dosage ;-)

"given that he's barely the best running back in his division"

LOL. He's been one of the best if not the best back in the league for 3 years now.

Who are you thinking of that's better?

"his retirement is being treated as if it should be seen as some "end-of-an-era" crap."

Because he's only 31 and its rare for an athlete to retire before the end of his prime.

60. Um yeah Peyton Manning has failed at his real job.
He's not getting paid to get to the playoffs every year and blow it in spectacular fashion the moment he has a little pressure - he's actually getting paid to take his team to and win a superbowl - something in which he has failed miserably at. There is simply no quarterback at any level that sucks nearly as much ass as Peyton Manning does in any game of significance. Sorry but he has failed at his job over and over and over again.

And no I don't believe you need a ring to be considered a success but you can't say someone hasn't failed at their job when they have the team year after year to win the superbowl and when it comes to do their part on the team in the playoffs, they completely shut down.

63. Glad to hear Brady isn't really a Repub
Makes me like hime even more! He seems like a real sweet guy and I was dissapointed when I heard from people and on t.v. that he was a Bush supporter. Guess you can't trust what you see or hear.:) I am dissapointed in Peyton Manning though. Giving to Corker? Yuck!
