1. I would say maybe he'll announce
But probably not. He would give Oprah that honor if he were to announce on a talk show.

2. Agreed, no announcement, though ...
I expect we will be able to get some read on which direction he's leaning.

It's amazing how many of these shows Obama gets invited to- people talk about Hillary's warchest, but I never see her on these talk shows. You simply can't buy publicity like this.

4. That's a good point
Obama was very smart to release his book when he did. It was number 1 on the NY Times bestseller list at the time of the mid-terms, I believe, and it's still at number 1 now. So, not only might it have made an impact on the recent election, it allows him a lot of media play to build up support before an announcement of candidacy. Once he announces he's running, I expect to see another surge in sales.

Brilliant move, Senator! ;-)

7. That's the one ...
the deep cover operative of America's enemies. He thought he could slip past the vigilant guardians of America on the far right, but no such luck- his name gave him away. :)

11. He Is funny...
...Barack Obama has a healthy sense of humor too. But, as I thought, no word about him running for President. Though, personally, I think he is. Because it seems to me right now that he's stalling, and if he didn't want to run then he would say it.

But when he does announce, I doubt it'll be on Jay Leno...LOL!!!

12. Obama hit another home run ....
but then he inevitably does. You may have another candidate you prefer, but I have a hard time seeing how anyone could watch him and not concede that he has more charisma than any candidate we've had in a long, long time. Probably since JFK.

14. He has the same skill Bill Clinton has...
An easy ability to understand people of all different backgrounds, and talk to them intelligently, yet down to earth, but not in a condescending manner.

16. Sure he has a great deal of charisma - will he open the books on BushInc
Edited on Sat Dec-02-06 09:48 AM by blm
and show a great deal of integrity and hunger for open government? That is the quality he has yet to display though we all concede he CONSISTENTLY displays his knack for charm and feelgood generalities, much like the most successful preachers.

Just as Bill Clinton could do once he became fluently charming.

But what longlasting good came of it when he was using it to snow the Democratic party and the country while covering up for BushInc?

http://consortiumnews.com/2006/111106.html

If you want Obama to run, then pressure him to show he is an open government Democrat who will open the books on BushInc. That would make a great deal of us feel better about supporting him as a presidential candidate.
