no comment on David Schuster's week hosting Hardball?
David took over the hosting duties on Hardball this week. I thought he did an outstanding job. I haven't seen any comments on DU.

Tweety seems irrelevant now that both David Gregory and David Schuster have proven themselves more intelligent and competent as hosts of Hardball.

Kudos to Schuster! He's not just an excellent reporter. He's an on-air "talent" now.

Even when Jimmy Carter tried to push him around, he held his ground.

1. I differ.
He's a fair reporter and a mealy mouthed, shallow thinking host.

2. I've always found Schuster to be a good reporter
I've not been able to watch too much Hairballz this week because of schedule, but I *did* see the interview with Jimmy Carter. I thought Schuster did a good job in that he asked intelligent questions and allowed Carter to answer them fully.

(Not arguing, but how did you see it that Carter tried to push Schuster around? I saw Schuster trying to move things along and I saw Carter wanting to finish/expand his answers. In the end, I saw Schuster defer to Carter more than I saw Carter push him around. All in all, I thought the interview was intelligent and Schuster being respectful.)

7. Sometimes I enjoy Tweety because when he's on, he really does
a good job of calling bs on the right-wing talking points. However, if Hillary does get the nomination, he cannot cover it. He hates the Clintons with such a vengeance that he has NO objectivity. I have written to Hardball many, many times to tell Chris to get off it. His anti-Clinton rants make him look like a shill and a fool.

David Schuster seems competent enough and certainly more objective than Tweety.
