Dr. Victoria Wulsin applies to Strickland to head OH Dept of Health

Wulsin is the doctor who lost to Mean Jean Schmidt by a very small margin. Strickland campaign says she has applied to the Strickland administration to be head of Ohio Dept of Health

I'd love very much to see a new head of ODH, the one we have now is horrible. Anyone know about Vic Wulsin's background to know if she would be good for the job?

She's a physician with a degree in epidemiology.

ODH keeps most of its health statistics under lock and key, out of the public eye. They even tried to use the Ohio Patriot Act to pass a law that kept all cancer statistics from public view. Ohio American Cancer Society said nary a word.

Maybe she could actually bring some evidence based medicine to public health policy.
