That's why Dems are not likely to get more House seats. The margins in the uncalled races are too large and the one ahead usually stays ahead anyway.

I wish this wasn't so, but that's what usually happens.

The wild card in this is FL-13, with lots of bull shit going down. Jennings probably would have won an honest election. It figures. That was Cruella's seat.

3. Pretty pathetic for Macacawitz

It was just a few months ago that George Felix Allen's smashing re-election victory as the Senator from Virginia was supposed to put him in the top tier of Republicans running for the 2008 presidential nomination. He had it all: Lovely family, down-home folksy charm, and most important of all for the conventional wisdom inside the beltway cognoscenti, a Southern base.

And now Allen's finished. Sucks to be him.
