Bush is Still Pushing Bolton: Does He Just Not Get It? Still?
This is just amazing to me. Does he just not understand what has happened to him and his minions? Does he think he can just continue on like always, doing whatever the hell he feels like?

I was amazed when he said he thought that they would do all right. Can anyone be that out of touch? Or is it just true that he never reads a newspaper or watches the news - just waits for Rover to tell him what is happeneing?

We may have to impeach him just to get him out of the way. Just because he is just plain mentally gone.

3. I find that unbelievable!
Are he and Cheney just going to go on about their business like nothing has happened? Just Laura and dog behind them?

Whoa - talk about Blind Ambition.

If they are really that nuts they need to get knocked out.

14. Perhaps they figure they can just go back to the good old days
of bullying and blustering and doing what they damned well please - AFTER the cameras and mikes are turned off and the press gaggle goes home and they think nobody's paying attention anymore. After all, a lot of what they achieved was done in the dark, behind closed doors, in the shadows, after the reception ended and everybody went home. I doubt there's been a TRUE change of heart. Some habits may be too hard to break. I see how conciliatory they APPEAR to be at present. Nobody seems to be putting much of a fight about this election. They seem to be accepting their losses surprisingly graciously. Which has me wondering if what we're seeing can be filed in the "too good to be true" file. Can't help it. I know who we're dealing with. They wanted power and stopped at nothing to grab it all - too much to just cave with courtesy like this. cheney, for one, has been huddled in his spider hole since the Watergate era, wanting to "fix" things.

7. it's a bit odd but

If i try to put myself in his shoes....

- I suppose not putting Bolton forward may look like weak capitulation to the newly power-infused Dems.
And that may embolden them (the Dems).
- Maybe a naieve attempt to portray the Dems as obstructionist after they turn Bolton down.

Or really it's probably just good ol' loyalty, above common sense.

11. Obstructionist Democrats will be the re-puke theme and the corp whore media will belch it endlessly.
Edited on Fri Nov-10-06 10:26 AM by FreeStateDemocrat
This will be how the media will spin it when the "no plan" Democrats present a comprehensive direction that then will have to be portrayed as obstructionist to all the "sincere" administration efforts at "non-partisanship."

10. Bush was born into a class that will never "get it". They think it is
part of God's plan for them to rule us poor lower classes.

19. Agreed. I would just be happy if the idiot would work two years...
as a stockboy at a home store, which is about the maximum competency of job he might be qualified for since he's supposedly such a heroic athlete.

And he should have to support Laura and the twins in the lifestyle to which they are accompanied SOLELY on the salary that the job provides. He could work overtime and holidays, if necessary.

I think that would be punishment enough.

17. True karmic justice would occur if he and his family faced what he is putting others through
Bombings, running through streets as a soldier without adequate armor or weaponry, the loss of a spouse or child/children.

Or perhaps losing everything through the corrupt bankruptcy bill.

There's plenty karmic justice right here in 2006.

13. I believe he is trying to push Bolton through while he still has a Rethug congress
Bolton has NO chance once January rolls around.

It's clear that Bolton has no chance now either imho but I'm guessing he is pushing this one last time while there are still enough rethugs to twist enough arms to possibly get this done.

Which leads me to ask, what the hell kind of information does Bolton have that compels Bu$h to try to ram through Bolton with his lame duck rethugs? I mean, of all the damn things, he chooses Bolton as one of his big priorities?! Is it related to Bolton's work in Florida during the 2000 election? Does Bolton have some kind of information that he's blackmailing Bu$h with?

:wtf:

16. He gets it. He's challenging Democrats to stand up to him
It's the proverbial slap on the cheeks, twenty paces, turn, fire routine. Keep in mind, Karl's his second.
