What Ford actually said about Kerry

I too about jumped up and down but I decided to see what he actually said and here is what he said thanks to The Ford Report: http://www.haroldfordjr2006.blogspot.com

“Whatever the intent, Senator Kerry was wrong to say what he said. He needs to apologize to our troops. However, Senator Kerry’s words don’t alter the fact that the stay-the-course strategy pursued by President Bush and supported by Bob Corker isn’t working. We need a new direction in Iraq. I know how hard our troops work, and the sacrifices they make, for our freedoms. They deserve a plan for victory as good as they are, and as Senator I intend to see they get one," said U.S. Senate candidate Harold Ford Jr."

I don't think Kerry should apologize at all because he cleared up that it was just a joke that came out wrong and that's all he should have to do. I'm glad though he is trying to get the focus back on Iraq. Just thought I'd post it.

6. I didn't like that part either

but it was hardly a part of the statement. The major part of the statement was about Iraq so I thought that was important to point out. I was very disappointed that he did that because Senator Kerry has helped him and his campaign out a lot with raising money and this is how he is repaid.

9. I honestly do not think that Kerry would jump on Ford for his statement. It took courage for Ford

to be Kerry's co-chair in "very red" Tennessee, and John Kerry understands that.
