Framing the debate: Basic chemistry analogy
If you want to create chemical reaction, you need a catalyst. That's why, if the inert gas bags in Washington stay in control, nothing will change.

The House and Senate Republicans just don't have the molecular structure needed to create any heat, light or other kind of energy release.

If the GOP remains in charge the "stay the course" policy will remain safely sealed in a nitrogen environment, where it will remain unchanged for years to come.
