OMG! "Democrat Chris Bell"
:bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

I just saw an ad by Chris Bell and it identifies him as a Democrat for governor.

That hasn't happened in years.

1. My good friend in Texas tells me the same.
"Democrat" suddenly isn't a dirty word anymore. Extraordinary times, particularly in Texas. Enjoy.

7. For the past decade, Democrats have not identified themselves
as such.
(For the most part)

9. San Antonio is probably the largest strong hold for
democrats. That was the only county or one of the only counties that Kerry carried in the last election. Very large Hispanic demographic there :) We know whats up

13. Actually Bexar County went for Chucklenuts
Travis County (Austin) is the fabled Blue Dot in the heart of Texas.

10. Much like Republicans are doing now....
I have one local candidate that just has a small, discrete "GOP" in the bottom corner. Another one that has no party affiliation, but I know he's an R. A lot of signs up missing party affiliation. This is a blue state (though a red district, by our current rep), so I assmume most of the unmarked ones are D's.

I'll be watching on the ballots, to be sure.

11. Less than half Republican billboards around Houston say Republican now.
I doubt such tiptoeing ever fools anybody. But Bell carrying the label proudly is a welcome sign.

14. That's the way it is here in DE
Dems usually identify themselves as such, and the R's don't list their party on their materials.

12. Wow, what a great thing to hear!
Not knowing who Chris Bell is,I was expecting
this thread to be about another one
of FoxNews' "accidental" D-labeling scams...

17. Here in CT, lots of Republicans are the ones who never
identify their party.

You can tell the local Republicans b/c their lawn signs never say which party they're from.
